Site Registration Request - from Japan

Hello Pressbooks Team,

I’m writing to request the registration and linking of our self-hosted Pressbooks site in Japan, following extensive testing in Japanese.

  1. Site: https://openstudio.pub/

  2. Registration name: Japan Open Textbook Publishing Consortium

  3. Pressbooks version: 6.42

I have also added the CUSTOM_DELETE_BOOK_ENDPOINT constant mentioned in other postings.

A small team of OER-focused university instructors and I are excited about this development for Japan. We also have several new publications in development, including graded readers for English language learners.

hi @Doug_S,

we’ve added your network to the Directory and fetched available records. When the Directory fetches book records, it reads from your network’s API endpoint. Currently, your network title is set to “Open Studio Consortium”, so that’s what’s appearing as the network name in the Directory. If that distinction is important to you and you want this to be Japan Open Textbook Publishing Consortium, I think you’ll need to adjust that value and check that it has been updated in your networks’ books endpoint: https://openstudio.pub/wp-json/pressbooks/v2/books. Once it has, let our team know and we can resync the records.

Thank you for the confirmation and note about the network title showing incorrectly. I have updated the setting to show “Japan Open Textbook Publishing Consortium” and confirmed the network is showing up in the book endpoint. Please go ahead and resync the records when convenient.
