Hi,
A word in Amharic script that is legible in the Pressbooks document (https://ecampusontario.pressbooks.pub/thinkingaboutwriting/wp-admin/post.php?post=88&action=edit) is not rendering in our PDF export. Amharic is not among the language/font options available under Global Options. I have read the workaround suggestions for Cherokee and Modern Hebrew. I wonder if you can help. Let me know what info you need, please.

Hi @vidyanigel it looks like we don’t have full script support for the Amharic alphabet right now, but I agree it would be great to have. We’ll try to add this shortly and get back to you when it’s available in theme options.

Amharic is now available! To use it, select ‘Amharic’ from ‘Language & Script Support’ in Appearance->Theme Options->Global Options in your book. I’ve activated it in your book, so it should now appear in any new exports you create.
