Votes requested for July PUG Meeting Topic!

@EDU_Managers A big thank you to everyone who attended the first of our PUG meeting today on the topic of onboarding and supporting new end users! We decided that future meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of every other month, meaning our next PUG meeting will be at 9am PT/12 pm ET/4pm GMT on Tuesday, July 7. We are considering one of the following three topics for the next meeting, please let us know your preference by voting in the poll:

  • Managing books and users: how to more effectively monitor and remove abandoned book projects and user accounts
  • Defining your ‘publishing’ process: pre-publication checks, generating and sharing export files, adding books to network catalog & the Presbooks directory
  • Measuring impact: Viewing, understanding, and sharing usage stats and book analytics with authors and sponsors

The poll will close at the end of the day on Tuesday, May 12. If you have questions/comments or want to recommend yourself or someone you know as a ‘featured presenter’ on any of these topics, please let us know by replying to this topic.

Thank to to all who voted in this poll. The topic for our July PUG meeting will be “Managing books and users: how to more effectively monitor and remove abandoned book projects and user accounts”. We will be searching for network managers who would like to participate as ‘featured presenters’ and share their approach to the topic over the next few weeks. If you’d like to volunteer to share your experience, please let us know, we’d love to include your perspective!
