Hey Karen! Here’s a map we made of downloads from our Open Library and Pressbooks.
Steel helped us understand that book downloads are considered events (In “Behaviour” in the sidebar -> Events) We also look at events by Page Path Level 1 to see what downloads are happening for which books, and sometimes run reports (on request) and send them to authors. Our front-end-developer is working on ways to call the Google Analytics API and automatically include book downloads on our library records, I will keep you all posted!
Also, I’m happy to chat with anyone via Zoom and show folks around. I’ve been learning Data Studio and Analytics for this specific project and I’m happy to show the way the sausage is made, so to speak.
