I have some authors who would like to use the auto ‘contributors’ back matter page in the front matter instead. Has anyone figured out a way to do this?
@aservice I don’t think it’s possible right now. When we built the feature, we only built support for ‘contributors’ as a back matter type (I think because that’s where Chicago Manual of Style said contributors were supposed to be displayed): Contributors back matter and improvements refactor by arzola · Pull Request #2336 · pressbooks/pressbooks · GitHub. I can see a use case for allowing as a front matter type, however. I think we’d need to open a feature request for that. You can file it in our ideas repo: Issues · pressbooks/ideas · GitHub or I can help with that, if you’d rather not bother with GitHub?
Thanks for your quick response Steel! That makes sense, I would appreciate help with the GitHub feature request I’m not a GitHub user yet (but it’s on my list!)
