User Roles & H5P

I’ve noticed when I am teaching a workshop on using H5P in Pressbooks, that users must be Administrators on a book in order to see and Get/Install all of the H5P activities available in the H5P Content plugin. I’m wondering if there is a reason behind this? It looks like that for me, as the book administrator, I’d have to first intall all of the H5P types I’d like users to be able to use in the book (if I want the book users to have a role lower than Administrator). Just wanted some clarification on that. It would also be useful if this inforamtion was more clear in the User Roles section of the User Guide Add and Manage Users – Pressbooks User Guide
Thanks!

Hi @olray I’ve just added a note on this current limitation to the User Roles section of the guide. It’s true, the ability to install H5P types in a book is limited to book users with the role of Administrator at the moment. This is a limitation of H5P in WordPress; H5P would need to set (or allow for setting) permissions differently in order for Editors or Authors to install H5P types from the hub. I’d suggest asking upstream at Forums | H5P if H5P would address this.
