No idea. Have you been able to update successfully?

Yes via FTP only: Hiding old Pressbooks folder > Extracting PB Zip file > Verifying Plugins list > Deleting hidden old Pressbooks folder.

GitHub was having connectivity issues on Monday, which probably caused the issue you were having.
