Hello, I want to be sure I’m interpreting the editor role in Pressbooks correctly. I work at a French‑language university, and we have an instructor who serves as the director of the publication, essentially the ‘sous la direction de’. In Pressbooks, does this correspond to the ‘Editor’ role?

Just to avoid confusion, there is a distinction between Pressbooks User roles and Contributor fields in the Book Information. If your question is about Contributor fields in the Book Information of your book, then “Editor” would be the field to add the contributor to that corresponds to “sous la direction de”. We’ve recently introduced the possibility to have books without an author but only editors. It will then say “Edited by” on the book’s homepage. It seems that the French translation has not been updated yet for this. I have just added it, so it should hopefully be part of the next release.
