Sometimes the images perfectly imports from word document,
strangely, sometime the image does not import from the word document.
Is there anything that I am missing while formating the word document.

It might have to do with what file format the image is; we only support jpg, gif and png:

Thank you @ned …I have realized what the issue is, pressbook has size limitation for images, image size that is more than 1MB does not get imported. If the image size is less than 1 MB it is getting properly imported.

This is probably the WordPress max upload file size, which you can change.
