Importing image from Word Doc

Sometimes the images perfectly imports from word document,

strangely, sometime the image does not import from the word document.

Is there anything that I am missing while formating the word document.

It might have to do with what file format the image is; we only support jpg, gif and png:

pressbooks/pressbooks/blob/dev/inc/modules/import/ooxml/class-docx.php#L362

Thank you @ned…I have realized what the issue is, pressbook has size limitation for images, image size that is more than 1MB does not get imported. If the image size is less than 1 MB it is getting properly imported.

This is probably the WordPress max upload file size, which you can change.
