H5P import error: Validating h5p package failed

Hi,

When importing H5P activities into Pressbooks, I’m consistently encountering an error message when importing multi-media H5P: Validating h5p package failed. There’s usually additional info like ‘Missing main library h5p dictation 1.1’ depending on the type of media used.

Any idea on how to fix this issue without having to recreate the H5P in Pressbooks? The H5P activities were originally created in Moodle.

Hi Lindsey,

Thank you for posting about this. Periodically, H5P will release updates to the activity type libraries. In the list of activity types, you will see an “Update available” notification.

If you click on the “Details” for that activity, you can “Update” the library and you should be able to continue the import of those activity types.
