This was a new WP installation and my first installation on CentOS 7. The Pressbooks site seemed fine until I created my first book - no folders created on the server and no book menu on the right of the My Catalog menu. I am using the default .htaccess for sub-directories; the directory var/www/html is writable. I turned on the wp_debug, but no errors log created, not even the log file.
When a new book is created, a page with a yellow rectangular in the center (probably with error message) displayed and quickly disappeared, then the message “The requested URL /myfirstbook was not found on this server.” showed up.
Where should I start debugging?

I forgot to change the AllowOverride to ALL in httpd.conf. it is fixed.
