Book progress bar?

Hi Pressbooks community,

A user has reached out asking if there is a way to include or embed a status bar in their Pressbook so a reader can view progress through the book.

I have not had this use case come up before, and my investigations hasn’t turned much up. Does anyone have any suggestions?
