Hello, I’d like to know if there is a way to add an author without an email address (or account) in a Pressbooks project. We have imported MS Word chapters from various authors who don’t have Pressbooks accounts, but we want their names to appear on the ebook cover.

I think what you would want to do in this case is add contributors as outlined in this chapter of the User Guide: Create and Display Contributors – Pressbooks User Guide

if you have a bunch of authors in word files, you can make a list of their names beforehand and add them as contributors during import. that way all their names will show up on the cover without needing accounts.
