I teach classes and lead writing groups in life story writing. I’ve been doing book layout off and on for twenty-five years for both a small press and independently published projects. I have watched the way faces go blank and eyeballs roll when I begin explaining that it’s simple enough to use Styles in Word. Styles, page breaks and all that good stuff. No way are they going there! I’m excited that Pressbooks automates enough that they can paste in their documents, click a few buttons, and have an uploadable file for whatever level of distribution they may choose.
