Unable to add new user

Hello,

I have a similar issue to the one mentioned in the December 18 post “Add New User by Admin.” I have superadmin status and I still do not see the add new user section in the user window.

I am working on a Mac mini (Late 2014), running OS Sierra 10.12.6 (16G2128). I have tried using Google Chrome Version 72.0.3626.121 (Official Build) (64-bit). I have tried using Safari. I also tried on my mac laptop with both Safari and Chrome.

My diagnostics info follows:

Hi @Lynley_Shimat_Lys this sounds like a question for your network manager (I think it may be Billy Meinke?). Two things that you/they can check: first is that there are two different kind of admin roles in Pressbooks – one of them is the network super admin and the other is a book admin. Network super admins can do everything, basically. You should be able to see a list of network super admins by visiting https://yournetwork.url/wp-admin/network/users.php?role=super. If you can’t access that page, you’re likely not a network super admin and a book admin instead. Network super admins decided whether or not book admins have the ability to add new users to their books. There’s a setting called ‘Add New Users’ – if the box is ticked than book admins can invite users to their books, if not, they can’t. Super admins on a network can find and change that setting at https://yournetwork.url/wp-admin/network/settings.php
